History of the hotel

Located in the centre of Copenhagen, Petra is shaped by the history that precedes it.

Holding a prominent presence on Dronningens Tværgade, meaning The Queen’s Cross Street, the location once served as a symbolic link between the King’s Garden (Rosenborg Castle Gardens) and the Queen’s Garden. Created in the 17th century, the street became home to Copenhagen’s gentry, lined with prestigious properties.
