Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may contain embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in exactly the same way as if the visitor had visited that website directly.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed third-party tracking and monitor your interaction with the embedded content, including tracking your interaction if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who we share your data with
We share information with third parties who help us deliver our orders and services to you, such as our booking engine, payment provider and Google Analytics.
We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
Booking
When you make a booking with us, you will be redirected to an external website which also uses cookies. They will inform you about their data collection practices in their cookie policy when you visit the site.
Google Analytics
We (Petra Hotel) collect data from our website via Google Analytics. We use this standard analytics tool to find out which pages our visitors find most interesting and relevant.
We also use this demographic and interaction-based data to plan and improve our social media content.
This data consists of standard internet log information (IP address and browser type) as well as behavioural patterns. This is collected to track the number of visitors to different parts of the website. We do not attempt to identify visitors or their individual characteristics.
The data is transferred to and stored on Google’s servers in the United States. This is done in accordance with the agreement between Petra Hotel and Google. Google uses the information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity and provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also disclose the information to third parties where required by law, or where the information is processed by a third party on Google’s behalf.
Google Analytics uses two types of cookies:
- A persistent cookie that tracks whether the user is a returning visitor, where the user came from, which search engine was used, search terms, etc.
- Session cookies, which track when and for how long the user visits the site. Session cookies expire when you close your browser or tab.
Google does not link your IP address to any other information it may hold.
Please read Google’s privacy policy for more information about the cookies used by Google Analytics.
Interest-based advertising
We cooperate with third parties in order to display relevant advertisements from us and other advertisers on external websites. These advertising networks use pixel tags (also known as web beacons), cookies, and other tracking technologies to collect and store non-personal information about your visits to our website. If you visit our website via a mobile device, the advertising network may also collect your device’s unique ID or location and attempt to link this visit to other visits. When a relevant advert is shown to you on another website that uses data collected from our website, this is known as an interest-based advert. The advert will typically have a blue ‘AdChoices’ icon in the top right-hand corner. If you click on the AdChoices icon, you can read more about the advertising network and choose to opt out of interest-based adverts from the network. We do not have access to or control over these advertising networks’ use of cookies when interest-based adverts are shown to you. However, you can opt out of the use of this information by clicking here: aboutads.info
Please note that even if you opt out, you will still see adverts, but they may not be as relevant to your travel interests.
